Detailed itinerary

Day1 : Entebbe / Kampala-Bwindi Gorilla Park

After breakfast from your hotel of residence, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via Masaka- Mbarara with stopover at the equator for snacks and photo shooting-Lunch en-route. Along the way, you will enjoy the scenic views of vegetations and land forms, the Ankole long horned cattle and farms. Arrive in Bwindi the home of the endangered mountain gorillas in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Engagi lodge/Kitandara camp/Buhoma rest camp. Meal plan: F/B

Day 2 : Bwindi Mountain gorilla tracking

Early breakfast and briefing from the guides before you set off for the mountains gorilla tracking inside the Bwindi forest. You need to carry drinking water, rain jacket and jungle boots while the rangers will provide you with a walking stick. Gorilla tracking is enriching and rewarding as you walk through the thick rain forest. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B

Day 3 : Community walk-Tree climbing lions

After breakfast from your lodge, with the local guide take community walk to typical Bakiga homes, traditional healers, local breweries and local art and craft shops. Return to lodge for lunch and after drive through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Go for the game drive in the open savannah on the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley.
You will search for the typical tree climbing lions found only in this part of the country. It is impressive to see them resting and lying on the top branches of fig trees. Dinner and overnight at Ishasha wilderness camp/Katara lodge/Mweya Safari Lodge/Bush lodge. Meal plan: F/B

Day 4 : Game drive-Boat cruise along Kazinga channel

This day starts with an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queen ‘s mile tracks in the park and you may be able to see lions, elephants, Cape buffalo, warthogs, leopard, spotted hyena, mongoose, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, topi and a lot of small animals and birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relax at the swimming pool. After lunch, go for a boat cruise for the best navigation of the Kazinga Channel, a good opportunity for birding, as you will see many water birds, cormorants, pelicans, eagles, and many other birds as well as crocodiles, hippos, elephants, buffaloes. Dinner and overnight at Katara lodge/Bush lodge. Meal plan: F/B

Day5 : Kyambura Gorge-Kampala

After breakfast, drive to Kyambura gorge for a forest walk to look for the habituated chimpanzees and other primates. The chimps are quite mobile and viewing them is unpredictable but the walk is great adventure. This gorge is 16 km long on the Rift Valley and 100 meter deep. Return to lodge for lunch and after drive back to Kampala with another stop at the equator for shopping crafts. Board your return flight back home. End of services. Meal plan: H/B
