Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National in Buhoma Sector
After breakfast, you will be picked up by your safari guide to begin your journey to the Buhoma sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You will have a lunch stop in Mbarara, and after, continue with your journey to the home of the gorillas, passing through the Ishasha sector of Queen for a chance to see the tree-climbing lions. Proceed to Buhoma and check into your safari lodge for dinner and overnight accommodations upon arrival.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking Buhoma and Batwa experience
You will wake up to a delicious, filling breakfast and later transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing that will usher you into the gorilla tracking activity. Set out into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to meet with the gorillas for a full one-hour viewing, take pictures, and then return to your lodge to get a few minutes to rest before your hike for a cultural experience with the Batwa people, an indigenous tribe from the Ituri forest of Congo.
