Detailed Itinerary for 3 days Gorilla tracking Bwindi forest National Park

Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Bwindi for Gorilla trekking in Uganda

After your breakfast, from your lodge/hotel, our guide will meet you and exchange greetings. Thereafter transfer to Western Uganda via Masaka-Mbarara highway with an amazing stopover at the Uganda Equator for snacks, photo shots and informative talks. Then have a lunch break and later on proceed to the home of half of the Mountain gorillas in the world. Check in your booked accommodation, Dinner and overnight. Meal plan: Half Board

Day 2: Gorilla tracking Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park

Have breakfast; go to briefing point ground on the do and don’ts about the mountain gorillas from the park officials, after setting off for the tracking experience inside the heritage jungle. Carry with you enough packed lunch and drinking water, rain jacket, walk-able boots, hut, insect repellent, Camera and any other gadget required for the activity.

The rangers will provide you with a walking stick. Gorilla trekking Bwindi is one of the unique activities you will enjoy while photographing and observing the mountain gorillas. Spend an evening on a village walk to experience the typical amazing life for Ugandans around the Park. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Travel back from Bwindi to Kampala / Entebbe

Have breakfast, thereafter embark on our safari vehicle and drive back to Kampala / Entebbe. Lunch en – route with a second stop at the Uganda Equator to shop for souvenirs to take home. End of services as you board your return flight back home. Meal plan: Half / Board

Briefing Points Before Mountain Gorilla Tracking Uganda

Gorilla tracking Rules: Before you set out:

  • Do not visit the gorillas if you have a cold or other infectious illness
  • Human waste should be buried 30 cm ( 12″ ) deep
  • The maximum number of visitors is eight persons per gorilla group
  • When you are with the gorillas:
  • Maintain a 7m (21ft) distance from the gorilla
  • Smoking, eating and drinking are not permitted on the tour
  • If you must sneeze or cough cover your face and turn away from the gorillas, as they can catch coughs and colds from humans
  • Visits are limited to one hour per gorilla group per day
  • Do not use flash photography.
